Linoprint, transfer print, paint marker,

silver and gold cardboard, acrylic

Size: 39x42 cm

The basis of this work is formed by four times the geometric representation of the number 11 (together 44).

Four Ka (soul) hieroglyphs have been ironed over this as a transfer print. These characters together form a swastika. The swastika has taken on a very negative character in our Western world due to the terror of the Nazis. Unfortunately, in my opinion, because it is a very old positive symbol that occurs in cultures around the world and in ancient times (from Hinduism in Asia to the Navajo in America). Swastika comes from "svastika": Sanskrit for well-being or happiness.
