These three works are inspired by a dance film by the American choreographer David van Tieghem.

Dance (Black) and Dance (Magenta) are made with a single stamp made from roof isolation material, in which I carved characters (ancient ideograms for ‘man’ and ‘woman’, lineair A, B, Cypric syllabic and Egyptian hieroglyphics) with a chisel. Dance (Black) is one side of the stamp, Dance (Magenta) is the other.

Dance (Aluminium) shows the part of the dance in which water plays a big part, by stamping fish (Sumerian pictogram) on aluminum foil. You can also see the ancient pictograms for ‘man’ and ‘woman’ and the Wedjat.
